Motor road vehicles.- Relates to six wheeled composite vehicles made up of a four-wheeled vehicle or tractor carrying the motor and a twowheeled trailer, the front end of which rests on and is flexibly jointed to the rear end of the tractor. The invention consists of a universal joint arrangement adjustable vertically and connecting the two sections. Fig. 2 shows a sectional end elevation. A transverse beam e, secured to the side members d of the frame, carries two casings f enclosing screw spindles g, which can be simultaneously raised or lowered by nuts h seated in the upper parts of the casings, the upper parts of the nuts being formed as worm-wheels which engage worms on a shaft k. The top ends of the spindles g are formed as bearings for trunnions turned on the end of a casting m having a circular hole through its middle part for a short cylinder n, the cylinder being supported from the casting by trunnions n<1>. The cylinder n is rigidly fixed to the circular table b, which is thus free to oscillate about two axes at right-angles to one another. The ordinary underplate at the front end of a vehicle rests upon the plate b, and is secured by a pin passing tbrough the centre. Springs o are arranged between the spindles g and table b.
