Abstract
24,078. Stephenson, J. E. Nov. 22. Combing - machines, Noble's. For pressing the fibres into the comb teeth, in addition to the stationary blades b, mounted on yielding bearings and arranged to operate and serve as a stopmotion as described in Specifications No. 14,123, A.D. 1901, and No. 7319, A.D. 1903, blades a reciprocated by an eccentric c<1> and rod fare arranged to work through slots-inthe blades b-close to the point of contact of the comb circles. The fibres are thus kept straight and even. According to the Provisional Specification, the blades a are constructed so that part reciprocates in front of the blades b and part between or through them.
