Abstract

19,691. Richardson, W. K. Oct. 17, 1904, [date applied for under Patents Act, 1901]. Collectors.- Trolly wheels are constructed so.that the portions which are subjected to wear can be renewed. The wheel comprises a pair of steel or iron disks 6, a grooved soft-metal annulus 9, and a soft-steel tubular bushing 12 free to revolve on.the fixed spindle 2. The bushing fits snugly in the openings 10 in the disks, and is expanded at its ends to fit the flaring portions 11 and thus bold the disks together. Oil is supplied to the bushing through the passage 3, 4 from the oil cup 14, which is screwed on the fixed spindle 2. The oil cup is provided with a screw-cap 16 to exclude dust.
