As the drawing-die r, Fig. 3, descends, the plate z by means of the bell-crank levers w, v causes the plate b carrying the fold-pressing die p to be depressed against the action of the springs d. The edge of the plate z then slides over the edge of the bearing- surface of the arm w, the springs d cause the plate b to rise, thus releasing the disk u, and the die r pushes the disk into the matrix q.
