Capsules.-The cork 9 is covered by a piece 8, of tin-foil or other material, which is retained by a metal collar which fits closely an annular groove 7 in the neck of the bottle. The collar is made in two parts 10, 11, each of U cross-section, and provided at one end with a socket 14, Figs. 3 and 4, formed by a yielding cross-bar 12 divided at its middle 13, and at its other end with a locking-head 15 of similar formation but of reduced size and provided with a groove 17, which engages the cross-bar 12 on the other half of the collar.
