Tyres, elastic other than pneumatic; felloes or rims.-The base of a rubber tyre is formed with keyways, preferably wedge-shaped, in which engage .keys formed on the laterally-adjustable side-flanges of the rim. The keyways a, Fig. 4, are formed with the small ends arranged alternately in opposite directions, and are engaged by keys b, Fig. 2, on the rim so that drawing together the side-flanges attaches the tyre. The keys may have the double form shown in Fig. 3. For attaching two tyres side by side, a central flange c, Fig. 5, is either formed on or secured to the rim, and is provided on each side with keys d which engage the keyways on the bases of the tyres, side-flanges with keys being also employed.
