Abstract
1524. Mackenzie, J. W., [Pauli, K. M.]. Jan. 25. Mechanical drawing -instruments. - Adjustable protracting arms 2, 3 are pivoted by a screw 6 to a T-head 1, and can either be clamped together or be left free to move independently. A nut 6 clamps the arms 2 to the T-head, while the -arms can be clamped by the nut 9 and a screw 8 riveted to the arm 2. The positions of the arms 2, 3 are read off by means of verniers, which also serve as stops to determine standard angles. The instrument may be attached to a parallel ruler or T-square.
