Laces; lacing fastenings.-A boot or shoe lace is provided with a small ring at one end and a wedgeshaped tag at the other, the ring being large enough to permit of the passage of two folds of the lace and a part of the tag. The tag b is inserted through the eyelet 1 and brought up through the eyelet 2, and the boot is laced and fastened as shown, the underside of the ring a being flat.
