A compound disk G<1>, concentric with the projecting spindle, contains a separate pocket for each denomination of silver coin to be inserted through slots in the casing G. Such a coin, when shut into its proper pocket by a slotted shutter H on the casing G, makes a spring-raised dog J at the bottom of the pocket bite the toothed wheel and engage a ward which spans an arc on the casing proportional to the value. A cam on the disk may raise the stop lever E, and a spring detent may be provided to hold the disk if the shutterring is not closed.
