Frames for packing bottles &c.-In apparatus for exhausting and hermetically closing jars, cans, and like vessels, the jars are placed in trays which are arranged on slides adapted to be pushed into a sealing- chamber. The jar trays 83, Fig. 19, are each made to hold twelve jars, each tray occupies a definite position on the slide, and the jars are spaced upon the tray by a gauge 86. The gauge 86 may also be used during the handling and transportation of the jars.
