Abstract
27,528. Marks, G. C., [Goldman, G.]. Dec. 16. Powder distributers.-A hopper 1 is provided from which the material is transferred, by a grooved roller 4 forming the hopper bottom, and by a rotating brush 10, to the surface below, e.g., the fibrous material used in the process described in Specification No. 2680, A.D. 1904. A bevelled scraper blade 14, adjustable by screws 18, 17 and slot 16, prevents the escape of the material on the one side. The sides 2, 3 of the hopper are arranged as in the Figure, and the groove 5 in the roller is preferably spiral shaped and of the sectional form shown, to prevent injury by the roller and to properly transfer the powder. From the number of revolutions of the roller, the amount of material distributed in a given time may be gauged.
