Abstract

Telegraphs; telephone systems; telephone calls.- In electric light or power transmission systems used for telephonic communication, as described in Specification No. 7676, A.D. 1904, a telephone call is given by means of Hertzian waves, which are introduced into the line-wire and actuate a waveresponsive device and relay. Morse code signals may also be given in the same way. The waveproducing apparatus C, D, E, F is connected to one of the power leads A, B, and the apparatus at the receiving-station comprises a coherer I, relay G, bell H, and batteries J, J'.
