Tureens.-To prevent the slipping of covers on tureens &c., both dish and cover are formed with lips 2,4 which interlock, the lips 4 on the covers being turned downwards to overlap the edges of the dish. The lips 2 of the dish are formed with ledges for the cover. In a modification, the lips are formed at either end of the dish and carry the handles, while the cover lips overlap the sides of the dish.
