14,122. Fisher, F. H. June 22. Blackboards are stayed with a frame, and may thus be made lighter than would otherwise be the case ; at the same time, T-squares may be used accurately on the boards. The blackboard B is bevelled along its edges and fits into a grooved frame F, the upper surfaces of the frame and blackboard being flush with one another for the accurate use of a T- square. The edges of the blackboard may be made with tenons which fit into corresponding rabbets in the frame, or the frame may be secured along the edges of the back of the blackboard by means of screws or otherwise. The blackboard may be made of single board, two-ply, three-ply, or any veneered wood, and dovetailed or grooved into the frame in any manner.
