Dynamos, regulating.-A. method of regulating the current supplied from a dynamo to an accumulator battery so as always to be proportional to the current used for lighting is shown diagrammatically. The field magnet of the electromotor E is wound with two coils A, V in opposite senses, which are included in the two circuits as shown. The armature, being supplied with current from the dynamo D, will turn the rheostat lever H till the current in the field circuit of the dynamo is so adjusted that the ampÞre turns of the coils A, V balance one another. A fixed resistance W is included in the lighting-circuit, to safeguard the lamps from the rise of potential due to the battery resistance.
