The slide can be raised by a handle or handles i which project through the lower chamber, until the grooved top of the slide h passes through a slit in the lid of the upper chamber. The lid, which carries a striking - surface o, may slide off, or be hinged and have a lock. The front of the holder may bear an advertising-sheet l, which may be covered by glass m, and an upward projection of the back may be similarly utilized. Advertisements may also be carried by any other part of the holder.
