Steam pumps.-Relates to the steam-cylinder valves of steam pumps, and consists in the arrangement and construction of the delivery and expansion valves and in the mode of actuating them. Both valves are of the piston type, the expansion valve being actuated from the piston-rod, while the distribution valve is actuated by steam controlled by the expansion valve. By varying the length of the expansion valve, the time of cut-off is varied.
