Abstract
3590. Taylor, H. Feb. 16. Loom let-off motions.-The warp tension in looms is regulated by means of a lever 13, which is pivoted to a bracket on the back rail 4 and extends to the front of the loom, where it engages with a vertical rack 16. A lever 11 pivoted to the bent-over end of the lever 13 has forked ends 13 engaging levers 7, which are pivotod at 8 to the rail 4, and one end of each of the tension cords 3 which pass round the necks 1 of the warp beam 2 is connected to a lever 7, the other end being connected, in some cases through the medium of a spring 6, to the rail 4 or to a bracket 5 fixed to the rail. The adjustment of the end of the lever 13 in the rack 16 regulates the tension of the cords 3, and thus of the warp. A telescopic extension 18 may be fitted to the end of the lever 13 to obtain extra leverage.
