Abstract
19,736. Sello, E. M. Sept. 9. Splints.-A splint or binding-rail is made in telescopic parts, so that it can be drawn out to the required length. Fig. 3 shows a section of one form, in which the splint is made in three parts a, a<1> a<3>, the two parts a, a<1> being formed with turned-up edges which form guides. The parts are strengthened by ribs r, and stops c are provided to prevent detachment. Fig. 5 shows a modification in which bars a, a<2> slide in bands f fixed to the middle barf, stops g serving to limit the movement.
