Abstract

18,711. Alexander, J. S. Aug. 26. Tickets; stamps, postage and like. - Stamps signed by the drawer, purchaser, or owner, and also, if desired, by the certifier, are affixed to cheques, drafts, certificates, money orders, warehouse receipts, bills of sale, orders, tickets, or other instruments representing money, property, or service. The Figure represents a cheque for six dollars sixty cents. Each stamp contains a designation of value so disposed that the units and fractional parts occupy different lateral positions when affixed. The issuer of stamps may charge for the same when issued, or by fee stamps as shown.
