Measures of length.-The sections a of a folding- rule A are pivoted to each other by means of studs b joining attached plates c, c<1>, which have longitudinal grooves d, d', and the terminal section is provided with a sliding extension B in a guide C. The guide is a plate which is fixed on the rule by means of teeth f, and which is formed with bent ears h to hold the slide. The tips n or a bit m prevent the separation of the extension from the rule.
