Conductors.-The contacts j, which are adjacent to meeting or crossing rails, or other metallic objects, which may effect a short-circuit in the system, are arranged on a separate sub-feeder g of sufficient resistance to carry enough current to propel the car past such rail &c., but not sufficient to disturb the system if the sub-feeder is shortcircuited.
