Pulleys.-A strip of sheet metal a is bent to form a half, or other section, of the rim ; its ends are then bent radially inwards at 1, next downwards at 2 to form sections of the eye, and again outwards radially at 3, the extreme ends being flanged at 4 for securing to the centre of the strip. The two parts 3 are riveted or bolted together at b. The two sections of the pulley thus formed are riveted or bolted together at d. The arms may be stiffened by corrugations c, and the eye may be fitted with a bush e formed with projections to engage in recesses stamped in the sheet metal.
