Abstract

3457. Lemp, H. Feb. 11. Feedwater, supplying and controlling.-Relates to motor vehicles, launches, &c. with flash boilers and vapour burners, and comprises means for regulating the supply of feedwater to the boiler and of fuel to the burner automatically. As shown in Fig. 1, in one form, the engine A operates the boiler feed pump J and the fuel pump K by an eccentric H, springs being interposed between the crossheads H<1>, I so that the strokes of the pumps are caused to diminish as the pressure rises in the boiler B, and vice versÔ.
