When the drum comes to rest, the pointers indicate a question and an answer thereto respectively. The drum is preferably made in two parts a, b, movable relatively to one another so as to vary the answers. The questions &c. may be marked on the drum itself, or on separate discs for attachment thereto. Instead of questions and answers, names of persons and their characteristics may be marked on the discs. By marking the drum with useful information, it may be used as an educational toy.
