Abstract

15,918. Marillier, C. Aug. 7. Electric railways and tramways worked with alternating currents. Power is transmitted to the vehicle by magnetic induction without electric contacts. Cores C, wound with coils D in parallel on the conductors E, are placed at intervals between the rails, and cores J with elongated poles are carried on the vehicle. These cores J are wound with coils K to supply current to the motors M through the ordinary controllers L.
