The wind guard is in the form of a tray A with three sides a, in one of which is an opening D for the lighted match. The tray A slides, as shown in Fig. 1, between the drawer B and the outer metal or other case C of an ordinary push-through match box. In the case of metal boxes, the tray A may be hinged to the box so that it acts also as a cover.
