The conduits are rectilinear in cross-section, and fit with rectilinear spigot-andsocket joints. The conduits have one or more channels b separated by longitudinal webs a, and are closed by sectional covers B having rabbeted edges ; these covers may also have rabbeted ends. Circular openings may be formed under the channels b for other conductors or to receive and carry off any moisture. The conductors may be laid on biidge-pieces in the channels, and insulating-material may be passed round the conductors.
