A key-switch holder for a bayonet - c a p p e d lamp, having a case made in parts 1, 4, which screw together as shown in Fig. 1, may have the slotted eaternally-threaded part 1 provided with a rib to stiffen it and limit the extent to which the internally-threaded part 4 can be screwed on. The holder shown is provided with two insulating-parts a, i ; the upper one i has a projecting portion of the form indicated by section lines in the underside view, Fig. 3, fitting into a recess in the lower insulator a, and the two are connected by two screws n passed through the lower part into metal pieces in the upper one. The heads of these screws may be covered with plaster. The upper part has two parallel openings o, Fig. 3, and the lower part has corresponding recesses, to give access to binding-screws p on metal pieces, which receive the ends of supply conductors passed through holes in the upper part. A groove y, in the face of the lower part, separates two holes having shoulders to support plunger carriers d in contact with the metal pieces in the upper part. The upper part is hollow, to contain a switch r of any construction, which is covered by an insulating-disc v, provided with holes to pass the conductors.
