Abstract

25. Jones, C. A. Jan. 1. Stands and supports.-Relates to the construction of a collapsable stand for supporting a bicycle with both wheels off the ground and with the front wheel over the rear wheel. Fig. 8 shows one of several modifications described. A vertical pillar 1 is jointed to a stay 8 provided with a wheel 7, and is further connected to it by a jointed bar 2. A bar 11 jointed to the pillar 1 is provided with a hook or clamp 5 to hold one limb A of the back fork, and with a support 6 for one end of the hub of the rear wheel B. Pivoted rods 18 and 19 are provided to hold the rear wheel in position. A foot 14 projects laterally from the pillar 1 to hold the stand firmly. The Speci6cation describes modifications in details affecting the mounting of the wheels 7, the arrangement of the foot 14, and the pivoting of the various parts together.
