Disinfectants. - A disinfecting-powder, which evolves hydrochloric acid when mixed with damp stable-dung &c., is made by mixing dry powdered minerals, such as kieserite, anhydrite, and polyhallite, which contain small quantities of chlorides, with dry sodium or potassium bisulphate, or with free sulphuric acid.
