A repairing-patch is solutioned over the puncture, and is pressed into position by placing the patched part between two dies A, B carried by the arms C, D which are pivoted at E and provided with a thumb-screw pressure device F. To repair a tear in the cover, the dies A, B are replaced by others, of which one has the same cross-section as the cover, and the other fits round the first.
