Abstract
29,939. Miller, G., [trading as Miller & Sons, W.]. Dec. 17. Fencing.-Relates to vertical bar fencing capable of adjusting itself to the inclination of the ground. The verticals B, b, of angle or other section, pass freely through holes in horizontals A, which are attached to end posts c. Projections b<2> are formed on the bars b below the upper and above the lower horizontal bar, in order to hold them in place. The bars B with foot plates b<3> have projections b<2> below the lower bar, and cottars b<1> are passed through them above the upper bar. The fence is erected in place by first assembling the parts A and b, and then pushing through the bars B from below and securing them by the cottars b<1>. The projections b<2> are formed by punching out tongues from the metal of the bars, as in Fig. 3, or by means of rivets, pins, or bolts.
