22,282. Stone, J. H. Sept. 29. Parallel rulers.-One part A of the ruler has a measuring-rule E attached to it, and the other part B a guide or straight-edge D, under which the measure passes. By this arrangement the distance between the lines being ruled can be set out. The rule may be attached in various places, and may be pivoted to be turned out of the way when a long rule is used.
