Abstract
22,106. Jentzsch, R.B. Sept. 27. Luggage - carriers. - A tube is mounted free to rotate in pieces a secured by screws h and clips g to the handle-bar or other part of the cycle. A ratchet-wheel c secured to the tube and engaged by a spring pawl d normally prevents the tube from rotating backwards, but is released by pressing on the end d<11> of the pawl d. The parcel to be carried is placed on the tube and is encircled by a net e secured at one end to the tube and at the other to a bar f, the ends of which are placed in holes a<1> in the pieces a. The net is then tightened by rotating the tube. To adapt the device for handles of different slope, the heads of the screws h are placed in rounded sockets g' in the clips g, the holes g<11> being formed of oval shape to allow the screws to be secured at different inclinations. Nuts i clamp them in position.
