20,948. Dover, H. W., and Phipps, P. Sept. 11. Moulding pump clips for velocipedes. -Relates to clips for attaching inflators to bicycles and the like, which are an improvement upon the clips described in Specification No. 3058, A.D. 1895. The clips are composed of one piece of celluloid, xylonite, or like material formed by the forcible extrusion of a mass of the unseasoned material rendered plastic by heat through the die of a machine. The material comes out in a long bar which is cut into the short lengths to form the clips as shown in Fig. 1. Between the jaws A, B an intermediate solid or hollowed portion is formed the sides b of which serve to stiffen the jaws. The Provisional Specification states that the clips may be formed separately by forcing the material into suitable moulds.
