Abstract

11,570. Justice, P. M., [Soc. Anonyme du GÚnÚrateur du Temple]. May 10. Steam-generator furnaces. - Relates to furnaces in which liquid fuel is employed with or without forced draught. The improvements are shown in connection with a watertube boiler. Fig. 3 shows a horizontal section on the line 0, P, Q, R, Fig. 2. The atomizer at A discharges into the cylindrical muffle B which, at the rear, opens to the combustion chamber C formed between the upper part of the muffle and the vault of water-tubes D. Thence the gases enter, from the front, the spaces between the tubes and once more pass to the rear, where they escape by the lateral uptakes. Supplementary supplies of air enter by the apertures e, e<1>.
