Abstract

Aug. 19, 1921 Tobacco pipes and cigar and cigarette holders.-Relates to stems with annular traps formed by axial tubes and consists in the particular arrangements shown on the drawings. Fig. 1 shows a pipe stem with an intermediate part b of wood, glass, metal or vulcanite, a screwed coupling plug c with projecting tubes c<1> and a short mouthpiece d with a projecting tube d<1>. In a modification, Fig. 2, push joints are substituted for the screws. In Fig. 3, a flanged tubular mouthpiece d<1> is inserted in the tube b which is connected to the pipe stern by a shouldered screwed tubular plug c. Fig. 4 shows a pipe constructed of two parts a, d with tubes a<2>, d<1>, preferably of aluminium, inserted in the bores and projecting into the chamber b<1>.
