Abstract

187,054. Leechman, G. D. July 28, 1921. Fuel and other liquid containers.-A motorcycle tank consists of a main part 1 and an additional part 2, the main part being made of greater depth on one side than the space between the upper frame members 4, 5, while the other side is adapted to pass through and project beyond the space between the frame members. The additional part 2 is applied to the main part so as to render both sides of the complete tank symmetrical. The division between the two tanks may be concealed by extending the outer wall 7 of the tank 2 upwards so that its edge is hidden under the upper frame tube 4. Alternatively, the outer wall of the main portion may be extended downwards. When the additional tank carries lubricating oil, the connections to an external pump may assist in securing the two tanks together. Upper and lower supports 14, 20 are provided.
