Abstract
186,420. Jackson, W. J. Mellersh-, (Soc. des Etablissments Gaumont). June 27, 1921. Order apparatus. - Relates to systems for synchronous transmission of movement provided with hunting control gear at the receiving station in order to obtain proportional movements of electric or other motors driving order telegraphs. According to the invention, two or more similar control gears enable the driving motor to be controlled by one of a corresponding number of transmitting stations, the other stations being temporarily excluded from control. Fig. 2 shows an arrangement for two-station control. The local power motor 11 is geared to members of two hunting switches 15, 16, the other members of which are in synchronous relation with transmitters at the respective stations. The operator at either station by closing a switch 22 or 23 excites a relay 24 or 25 which completes the requisite control circuits thorugh the corresponding hunting switch 15 or 16, and opens interlocking contacts in the circuit of the other hunting switch, which is thus excluded from control. The power motor then starts and cuts itself out after a proportionate travel. The controlling switches at the two stations may, in addition, be mutually interlocked by mechanical stops actuated by electromagnets. The accuracy of control may be increased by providing additional quickly rotating hunting switches arranged to determine the fine adjustment. Specification 155,586 is referred to..
