Abstract
186,112. Stephens, A. J., (Varmeledningsaktiebolaget Celsius). June 13, 1921. Indicators, applications of; stops, adjustable.- A valve, suitable for the outlet of a water-heated radiator, is operated by a spindle having a screw of quick pitch, and is provided with a device for indicating the extent of the opening of the valve. The valve 5, Fig. 1, is operated by a spindle 6 having a thread 7 of such a pitch that the valve may be fully opened by not more than one complete turn. A washer 8 provides an abutment for packing 10 which is pressed downwards by a gland 12 controlled by an outer screwed ring 11. The spindle 6 is provided with a projecting pin 16, which contacts with a projecting rib 18 to limit the maximum opening of the valve. The upper projecting end of the gland 12 is provided with graduations 21 so that its position may be adjusted with respect to an indication mark 22 on the outside of the casing.
