Chimney tops.--A chimney cowl comprises vertical members a arranged so as to form between them a series of outwardly-converging nozzles with narrow outlets f and of a length approximately equal to the internal radius of the chimney. These nozzles owing to their form hinder the entrance of air on the windward side whilst facilitating the exit of smoke in other directions.
