Picture-films. -A series of individual pictures from a kinematograph film are mounted on a perforated transparent band, such as a length of ordinary non- sensitized kinematograph film strip, and are reproduced therefrom upon a sensitized kinematograph film strip in the apparatus usually employed for the treatment of such strips. The pictures may be assembled on the band with either their longer or their shorter edges adjacent or overlapping, as shown in Figs. 1 and 3, and in the form shown in Fig. 3 the perforated margins of the individual pictures may be either retained or removed. The copies printed from the composite strip may subsequently have one or both of the perforated margins removed. Specification 184,541 is referred to. The Specification, as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also (1) the reproduction of the composite band in a printing-frame, (2) the use, instead of a composite band as described above, of an ordinary kinematograph film strip having views successively formed thereon by direct photography or by printing, and (3) the assemblage of several composite bands side by side to form a plate which can be reproduced photographically, prints being thus obtained by ordinary printing and developing, or by a photomechanical process, on a transparent or translucent backing, and divided into bands by a cutting machine. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
