Balls.-A method of making golf-ball cores consists in enclosing a mixture of a mobile substance and a weighting material in an envelope and thereafter increasing the fluidity of the mixture. A preferred mode of carrying out the invention consists in forming a mixture of glue or gelatine and glycerine together with a weighting material of finely-divided metallic lead into a jelly, and enclosing a pellet of the jelley within hemispherical cups of raw rubber which are vulcanized together. The heat of vulcanizing liquifies the jelly which remains viscous and with the lead uniformly distributed throughout its mass. The tense rubber winding and outer cover are applied in the usual manner.
