Abstract
177,359. Schubert, H., and Vereinigte Fabriken Landwirtschaftlicher Maschinen vorm. Epple und Buxbaum. Feb. 22, 1921. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Thrashing-machines.-The straw-shakers b are fitted with upwardly-projecting roof-shaped elements. one part f, on which the straw moves upwardly, being pivoted and movable, the other part h being fixed. Between the fixed parts h are pivoted beaters g which strike the straw gently from below but do not move beyond the elements h. The parts f and the beaters g may be rigidly mounted on a single shaft which is oscillated by a crank arm, or may be separately mounted as shown and actuated by links l, k. These links receive motion from the incline r and are so inclined as to cause the parts f, g to rise alternately, and the bearings m, n forming the points of attachment of the links are adjustable to vary the amplitude of the movement. The parts f may be arranged in line either with the parts h of the projecting elements or with the beaters g between the parts h. The moving elements are of zigzag form in plan and work in slots of corresponding shape.
