Abstract

Wall-ties.-A wall-tie is made from a metal strip by folding it along the lines a and then along the lines b, c, so that a vertical central web 1 is formed terminating in vertical transverse wings 3. The flat horizontal portions 2 may be provided with tongues 8 along the centre or on the edges, serrations 6 may be made on the web 1, and the end 10 may be beaded or turned over to engage a bonding bar. In a modification, the parts 2 are narrower than the rest of the strip so that the web 1 projects below the bed joint.
