172,820. Raadt, P. A. van den. Oct. 19, 1920. Drills.-Flat drills are made of steel rolled substantially to the profile shown in Fig. 3, in which the cutting-faces A<1> C, F<1> H are concave. Longitudinal flutes A<1> A<2>, F<1> F<2> are provided and the cutting-edges of the drill may be lipped as at S, Fig. 2. The concavity of the cutting- faces may diminish towards the drill point, so that an approximately straight cutting-edge is obtained.
