Abstract

Gaiters.-A flexible cover or gaiter for a vehicle spring is notched and the borders of the notches are stitched together on each side of and in line with the guide bolt of the spring. The cover a, Fig. 3, is notched in line with a semicylindrical or elongated dome-shaped cap-piece b covering the guide-bolt of the spring and its meeting edges are reinforced by wires c<1>. Alternatively, the cover may be made by sewing together two pieces of material a<1>, a<2>. Fig. 1, the meeting edges of which are cut away to be equivalent to the notches.
