Abstract

171,141. Binns, D. H., Mander, J. D., and Binns, W. May 21, 1921. Combing-machines. - In a dabbing-brush arrangement in which two brushes or a brush and a dummy are mounted on parallel spindles and are driven from a common element in such a manner that one is at the top of its traverse whilst the other is at the bottom, the driving- element is a cam-slot or face-cam rotating about an axis parallel to the spindles. The brushes are mounted on spindles 17, 18 carrying guide-blocks 19, 20 with pins 21, 22 engaging a cam-slot 23. The cam is mounted on a shaft 24 parallel with the spindles 17, 18 and is driven by worm gearing 26, 27 from the shaft 25.
