Abstract
170,693. Cohen, N., and Cohen, S. Aug. 6,1920. Moulds for sand.-A device for moulding buildings in sand comprises a flexible plate, Fig. 5, or a number of hinged plates a, a', a<2>, a<3>, Fig. 2, of suitable outline, embossed to correspond with the surface of the building to be reproduced, and provided with openings b, through which the sand may be excavated, and means for detachably connecting the free ends of the plates. Projections may be provided at the upper ends of the plates whereby battlements or other parts of the building may be produced. The fastening means may comprise wires c with their longer limbs engaged in eyes d on the plate a<1> while their shorter limbs are adapted to engage eyes d<1> on the plate a'. The longer limbs of the wires c may be cranked outwards to provide handles. The meeting edges of the single flexible plate may be secured by a tongue e and slot e<1>.
